Odaiba, Japan has assembled a life-sized RX78 Gundam. But it will only be around until the end of August. This would suggest that Gundams do not sit so well in cold weather… Or do they?
Not to be outdone in the giant mechanized robot race, self-starting U.S. engineers are busily building mechs of their own. Carlos Owens, a former army mechanic, constructed an 18-foot prototype that can raise its arms, bend its knees, and even do a sit-up. A photo of the completed exoskeleton is below. And the whole thing happened in a little town called Wasilla, Alaska . . .
