The Arabian tahr. The Arabian tahr is the smallest of the tahr family. It lives mostly in the mountainous border between the UAE and Oman; it is listed on the endangered species list; and it is in dire need of a better public image. That sounds like perfect mascot material to me. I wonder if Muscat plans on hiring someone to wear a cuddly tahr outfit for any events in the near future.
