Vancouver introduced the world to its 2010 Olympic Mascots. They seems to be the ultra-cute cousins of the Beijing 2008 Friendlies. Like some of the Friendlies, they’re based on mythological animals. Miga is a sea bear, Quatchi is a young sasquatch who represents the Olympics, and Sumi represents the Paralympics. Their look and names are adorable. They look happy!

I like the way mascots are going. Much better than in previous years; Atlanta 2006 was a larva with dopey eyes called Whatizit. Whocaresit? It’s Fugzit.
