Birthday bumps to The Smile Project ! Since November 2003, artist Bren Bataclan has left paintings in Boston (and in many other cities all over the world) free for the taking if you promise to smile more. And who wouldn’t with one of these paintings?

Bren has The Smile Project Book coming out veeeeeery soooooon with the fantabulous Gingko Press. Hi-five, Bren!

Scents that makes you go :). Smiley is ora-ïto’s perfume creation based on theobromine and phenylethylamine that have the pharmacological effect of triggering the happiness gun.

In the same tongue in cheekiness as Victor and Rolf’s Flowerbomb, this is social scentsationalism from the olfaction. It has a tweaky model on it’s website who says she’s in therapy — yay!

Ironic social comments aside, the scent is a fruity and spicy mashup with bergamot and orange and finishes all cocoa and musky. Originally only sold at Colette and Sephora in France, now it’s available at Henri Bendel’s.
